Biography:
Shahab Dean Aslinia completed his B.S. and M.A. in Psychology/Behavioral Sciences at the University of Houston. He is currently a candidate for the degrees of Ph.D. and M.S. in Counseling Psychology at Texas A&M University-Commerce. His research emphasis is on social psychology and Iranian-American Immigrant issues. His Master’s Thesis was titled: Familial Cultural Immersion and Language Maintenance Among Second Generation Iranian Immigrants in the United States. He is currently working on several research topics concerning Iranians in the United States and Iran. His first book called: Iranian Immigrants in the United States was published in June 2008 by VDM Verlag, Germany. He is also a candidate for: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and Registered Play Therapist (RPT).
